What is EduMobile?
EduMobile is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization that supports students in the El Paso Independent School District that are at the lowest percentile in reading through it’s affiliate, Edumobile 915.
Edumobile 915 uses a fully integrated model combining four high impact practices:
Innovative Reading Instruction
Setting and Substance Instruction
Parent Assisted Literacy (PAL)
What Does Edumobile 915 Do?
Edumobile helps break at-risk cycle in individuals it serves by enhancing self-esteem and connectedness. Our tutoring boosts reading comprehension through mentorship and small group settings. Edumobile’s data-driven programs have been proven to make positive contributions to the educational attainment levels in the communities they serve.
Who does Edumobile 915 Serve?
Edumobile 915 currently provides services to 32 low-performing students, grades K-5, at Rosa Guerrero Elementary School in El Paso, Texas.
Edumobile 915 provides supplemental reading instruction in a classroom designated for EduMobile by administrators at Rosa Guerrero Elementary School. The classroom is available for use during the school hours, Monday through Friday.
All of tutors have received specialized training for providing reading services to at-risk students. Each student receives at least one hour of individual instruction each school day.
Students receive instruction from the same tutor throughout the entire semester. Tutors are available from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Every Edumobile 915 tutor spends one hour with six students each day. At the end of the semester, we create an individualized progress report that tracks the students’ reading comprehension, fluency, and accuracy
